Yoga

At The Wellness and Yoga Institute, we utilize years of training in anatomy, stretching, and yoga, where each private and group session is customized to students’ physical and mental capabilities and/or limitations. We use The WAY I Assessment to create each student’s wellness plan. These individualized stretching and yoga sessions strive to achieve optimum flexibility, strength, and balance.

For example, our specialized Yin Yoga sessions provide a deep, restorative experience that focuses on mindful stillness, breathwork, and gentle postures held for extended periods. Unlike fast-paced or heat-intensive yoga styles like hot yoga, these practices are designed to target the deeper connective tissues, enhance flexibility, and promote profound relaxation.

At the heart of our approach is the belief that true wellness comes from balancing movement and stillness, strength and surrender. Yoga encourages deep tissue release, improved circulation, and a meditative state of awareness that fosters both physical and mental well-being. Our sessions are carefully curated to support stress relief, joint health, and overall harmony within the body.
